Tsumura Kampo Otsuzito Extract Granules

Otsuzito extract is a classic Japanese Kampo formula developed by herbalist Hara Nanyo.

It is used for haemorrhoids, anal fissures, constipation and mild rectal prolapse.

The granules dissolve easily, ensuring convenient and accurate administration.

How to use:

• Take before meals with water or warm water
• Adults (15 years and older): 1 sachet twice a day
• Children 7–15 years old: 2/3 sachet twice a day
• Children 4–7 years old: 1/2 sachet twice a day
• Children 2–4 years old: 1/3 sachet twice a day
• Children under 2 years old: do not use
• Only give to children under parental supervision

Contraindications:

• Individual intolerance to the components
• Weak stomach, tendency to diarrhoea — consult your doctor
• Pregnancy or suspected pregnancy — consult a doctor
• Possible side effects: rash, redness, itching, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, abdominal pain
• In rare cases: interstitial pneumonia, myopathy, liver dysfunction

Composition:

Two sachets (3.75 g) contain 2.0 g of Otsujito extract (half the daily dose) in the following proportions:

• Angelica root (JP)
• Licorice root (JP)
• Bupleurum root (JP)
• Citric acid root (JP)
• Scutellaria root (JP)
• Rhubarb root (JP) — 0.25 g

Additives: magnesium stearate (JP), lactose hydrate (JP).
